Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued.
Prices are based on a visual inspection and may be subject to change if unforeseen conditions arise.
Any additional work requested by the client beyond the original estimate will be invoiced separately.
2. Exclusions & Liabilities
Damage to Underground Utilities or Irrigation Systems: It is the client’s responsibility to locate and mark underground utilities before work begins.
Property Lines & Surveying: The client must verify property boundaries before construction.
Concrete Cracking: Cracks in concrete are a natural result of curing, expansion, and contraction and are not covered under warranty.
Freeze-Thaw & Weather Damage: Damage due to environmental conditions, including excessive heat, cold, or moisture, is beyond our control.
Surface Imperfections: Spalling, crazing, staining, or color variations may occur naturally and do not impact structural integrity.
Cleanup of Landscaping & Adjacent Areas: While we take precautions, cleanup of landscaping near formwork is the client’s responsibility.
Collateral Damage from Concrete Removal or Jackhammering: The client acknowledges that demolition work may result in incidental damage to surrounding areas.
Sealing: Once sealing is completed, the client is responsible for protecting the surface from damage due to premature traffic or exposure to harsh conditions.
3. Material Ownership
All materials supplied for the project remain the property of Joe & Sons Concrete Ltd. until final payment is received.
Unused or surplus materials will be removed from the site.
4. Flatwork & Finishing Tolerances
Concrete flatwork will be finished in accordance with CSA Class A 'Conventional' standards (FF20 FL15).
Any special finishing requirements must be communicated before the project begins.
5. Extended Finishing Charges
Concrete finishing is included for the first six (6) hours from the time the last batch is placed. If additional time is required due to factors beyond our control (e.g., weather delays, slow curing, client requests), additional charges will apply:
Regular Rate: $120/hr
Overtime Rate: $170/hr
Double Time Rate: $220/hr
6. Payment Terms
A deposit may be required before work begins.
The balance is due in full upon completion of the concrete placement.
Late payments may be subject to interest and collection fees.
7. Warranty
We provide a limited one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, excluding normal wear and tear, environmental factors, and client neglect.
This warranty does not cover cracking, color variations, staining, spalling, or surface deterioration caused by environmental exposure.
8. Scheduling & Cancellations
Work is scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee.
